I meet Jean-Pierre at the train station in Basel where we took the train to the city of Laufen. After getting Jean-Pierre’s race bib (I don’t get one as a Guide), we had some time to relax and get our self mentally ready for the race. Start time was at 19:00 which was actually to our advantages as it was quite hot on this day. After 10 miles or 16 km, we reached the finish line at 1:49:06 without any incidents, a great time considering Jean-Pierre is 62 years young and this was my first race as a Guide.
